Location: San Jose, CA (Open to remote and other hubs Austin, TX and Salt Lake City, UT)

Job Description:

As a Technical Program Manager, Responsible AI, this subject matter expert will have experience with governance of technology, data, and machine learning systems.

You will enable close partnerships with cross-functional teams, product, research and engineering, to define problem statements, design roadmaps, and scope programs with reference to compliance priorities, identify turning points and defining and tracking progress toward success metrics, ensuring that large cross- functional teams are aligned and led to completion.

Responsibilities:

Define requirements for tracking mechanisms related to responsible AI objectives, and develop strategic initiatives that will be rolled out company-wide.

Build a strong and aligned program to efficiently deliver on responsible AI priorities.

Define and track key metrics and key quality and performance indicators and drive cross-functional execution of program deliverables.

Collaborate with Legal, AI, UX, Privacy, Data Governance, Engineering, policy leads, and business owners to define governance program requirements, set priorities, and establish scope, which includes defining Responsible AI requirements and long-term strategy.

Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.

Develop and own communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status, issues, and risks to team members.

Apart of the Responsible AI- preparing the company to be compliant with AI regulation

Someone who has experience building and running technology governance programs at tech companies

Tasked to build new capabilities and Gap analysis

Combine tech knowledge and machine learning and AI—privacy and info security already implemented this is not an aspect of this role

Looking for someone who has worked on other parts

Responding to the need to comply with upcoming regulations

Working across the company – needs someone experience and driving governance at a cross- functional level and adopt and align a doc to express data sets across functions

Doing gap analysis to find out the different needs and tooling the team could implement

Key areas; working with data sets, bias and fairness assessments—help team identify metrics that would be helpful for them to evaluate their data sets

Equitable performance for AI capabilities – complementing the work we see in privacy and security with aspects of social expertise around bias, fairness

May be evaluating vendor technologies – setting up those partnerships, vetting, helping team navigate insulation and creating dashboards

Key leadership role in helping determine technical solutions (would not be implementing)

Will not be leading a team but potential to build a team next year but not guaranteed--- work is ramping up
