Responsibilities:
Directs line management of IT operations & automation and client engineering employees.

Monitors and evaluates employee performance and develops employees through coaching, mentoring and formal on-the-job training and development opportunities

Develops, reviews, and improves runbooks and operational procedures to be used by IT operations & automation to aid in the efficient operations of the systems implemented.

Ensures processes and procedures are in line with IT service management best practices.

Governs the process of deploying software patches and advises on appropriate software and firmware upgrades, as needed.

Makes recommendations on technology used for client engineering and IT operations; automation and participates in budgeting process for future use of these technologies.

Ensures IT operations automation and client engineering personnel are trained on procedures required to operate and optimize existing and new systems.

Participates in project committees to understand and operationalize new systems and applications.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer-related field, or seven years equivalent work experience.

Two years of experience directly managing IT personnel

Advanced working knowledge of installed hardware/software systems.

Windows desktop operating systems.

Mobile device management systems (MaaS360, Intune, Airwatch, etc).

Server backup tools (Cohesity, Rubrik, Avamar, Veeam, etc).
