Network Engineer with Datacenter Experience, Cisco Nexus, and/or Arista
Location: Iselin, NJ (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Duration: 24+ Months Contract
Candidate Preference: Local to Iselin, NJ, or nearby areas.
Work Authorization: W2 Candidates only
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
Network Design & Implementation: 3+ years experience designing and implementing LAN/WAN/Datacenter solutions in large enterprise environments.
IP Routing Protocols: 3+ years experience with BGP, OSPF, and static routing, with a focus on DDoS mitigation and ACL configuration.
Network Engineering: 3+ years of hands-on network engineering experience or equivalent.
Cisco/Arista: 3+ years experience configuring and managing Cisco Nexus and/or Arista switching and routing platforms.
Desired Qualifications:
Certifications: CCNA, CCNP/DP, or CCIE (Data Center) preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or 3+ years of equivalent networking experience.
Documentation: Skill in creating and updating technical design documentation.
Agile: Experience working in a Product/Agile environment using Jira.
Change Control: Familiarity with change control processes, preferably using ServiceNow.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Collaboration: Strong interpersonal, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visio Professional.
Compliance: Experience working with regulatory bodies and auditors.
Scripting & Automation: Knowledge of YAML, Python, Ansible, and GitHub.
Problem-Solving: Ability to make quick decisions and solve complex problems in high-pressure environments.
Execution: Ability to coordinate, document, and drive flawless project execution.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN/Datacenter network solutions.
Configure and troubleshoot IP routing protocols, focusing on security and DDoS mitigation.
Manage and maintain Cisco Nexus and/or Arista network devices.
Create and update technical documentation.
Work collaboratively in an Agile environment.
Participate in change control processes.
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
