Job Description:
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for writing Mobile automation code using Espresso and/or XCUI frameworks for iOS and Android platforms. You will design robust automation test frameworks, ensure seamless execution of automated tests, and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance QA processes. The role requires expertise in test automation, mobile development, and the ability to work with distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and build a robust automation test framework from scratch using Espresso and/or XCUI for mobile retail and retirement applications
Ensure continuous automation testing, analyzing results, and reporting failures promptly
Research, implement, and train QA teams on Test-Driven Development and Testing Automation using Espresso/XCUI
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to define environment requirements and identify automation tools
Foster an end-to-end testing approach across multiple applications
Plan future QA tooling and technology decisions with geographically distributed teams
Integrate project plans, testing schedules, and reporting metrics with product teams and Scrum Masters
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
3+ years of Mobile Application Development experience
5-7 years of experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks
3+ years developing and maintaining automated test scripts
Experience with XCUI and/or Espresso frameworks
Hands-on coding experience with Java, Kotlin, SWIFT, or other object-oriented programming languages
Familiarity with logging bugs and managing test cases (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr)
Proven experience balancing multiple QA projects with concurrent releases
Understanding of Mobile Development on iOS and/or Android platforms
Knowledge of CI/CD practices and Lean DevOps methodologies
Financial/Trading services industry experience is a plus
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $70.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
