Job Description:
Required skills and qualifications
Deep experience with Python, Java, or Scala
Experience with Spark
Familiarity with microservice architecture
Strong client-facing experience as a data engineer/consultant
Strong understanding of analytics and data science
Sql

Responsible for design, prototyping and delivery of software solutions within the big data eco-system
As a team member designing and implementing solutions based on Big Data software to solve customer business problems
Also is responsible for explaining and researching the technical capabilities of BMC's products vs our competition
Participate in vendor landscape and technology assessments (covering for example Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, TensorFlow)
Advisory and recommendations on Big Data technologies and products including hardware and software
