Lamar's Corporate office is now hiring a new Financial Business Systems Analyst to review enhancements and customizations of financial applications. This position works with the AVP & Director of Financial Systems and other Business Systems Analysts to deliver on the team's technology project roadmap.

What we’re looking for in YOU:

An understanding of financial and accounting concepts

Develop skills and work in other business applications

Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically intermediate Excel skills

Deadline-oriented, good time management skills

Ability to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions

Attention to detail

Ability to assess a situation, gather more information if necessary, and identify issues to be addressed

Work well independently and as a team member

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required

3-5 years of accounting experience required

Oracle experience preferred 

Experience with financial application testing, documentation, and deployment preferred

Experience in Smartsheet, JIRA, or equivalent project documentation application preferred

A day in the life:

Own User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and testing signoff by the accounting team for system configurations, customizations, workflows and testing within the Oracle applications.

Review requested changes to Oracle ERP to ensure adherence to GAAP and bring in relevant people for review from accounting as/when needed

Troubleshoot application issues as necessary and escalate items appropriately

Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to develop and improve integrations other applications

Work closely with multiple business stakeholders and teams to deliver on their requirements and expectations

Maintain an understanding of financial and accounting concepts, and apply them to implement best practices or process improvements

Update and maintain system documentation for financial systems

Adhere to SOX compliance by maintaining logs and approvals of system changes.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The primary work environment for this position is the office.

The physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading, acuity, depth perception, and peripheral vision), sitting more than 50%, and talking.

Nights spent traveling, away from home, are less than 10%.
