Network Engineer I

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing enterprise networks, designing and documenting network architecture, and optimizing network infrastructure. This role requires a solid understanding of routing protocols, network hardware, software, security technologies, and network infrastructure. The Junior Network Engineer will also play a critical role in establishing network security measures and managing network services from the planning phase through implementation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Network Planning and Implementation:

Plan, design, and implement enterprise network solutions, including hardware and software.

Develop and document network architecture to ensure optimal performance and scalability.

Network Assessment:

Perform assessments on existing network technologies to identify performance and capacity gaps.

Provide recommendations for network improvements and optimizations.

Security and Connectivity:

Establish and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.

Test and fine-tune security devices and systems to ensure robust network protection.

Network Programming:

Program and configure routers, switches, and other network hardware to support data and voice communications.

Implement and manage communications technologies to enhance network connectivity and performance.

Project Management:

Manage network services throughout the project lifecycle, from the planning phase through to implementation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network integration and operation.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware, software, and security technologies.

Understanding of network infrastructure, including design, implementation, and maintenance.

Familiarity with network security measures such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.

Ability to program and configure network devices, including routers and switches.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to document network architecture effectively.
