Job Title: IT Help Desk Technician
Location: 1500 N Mittle Blvd Wood Dale IL 60191
Pay rate: $22/hr on W2.
Duration: 6 months CTH
1 day remote after a few weeks of training, Tues or Thurs would be the WFH day.
Shift - 9-530 cst.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Technicians provide fast and useful technical assistance to resolve our associate s technical issues. They must have strong communication and technical skills to be able to understand, relate and resolve technical issues. They must be customer focused and patient in difficult situations. They resolve technical issues that are escalated for our associates that require elevated technical skillsets to resolve.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions
Serve as first point of contact for our associate seeking resolution to technical issues.
Perform troubleshooting to identify and then correct user requests within SLA.
Setup, configure, maintain, and upgrade laptop/desktop/tablet computers and peripherals.
Record user requests, troubleshooting and corrective actions within our Information Technology Service Management ( ITSM ) tool.
Support corporate owned mobile devices and cell phones.
Support approved software and applications.
Provide on-site and remote support to our associates.
Completion of IT projects identified by management.
Follow and adhere to our standard work, policies, and procedures.
Respond to outages and assist team with problem triage and remediation of network, server, and systems issues.
Active Directory ( AD ) administration
Support wired and wireless implementations / connectivity within the facility.
Support continuous improvement projects/workshops.
Provide regular on-call rotation.
Provide our associates with technical training.
Other duties as assigned.
BACKGROUND & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Technical knowledge of Client operating systems (Windows 10/8/7/XP) required.
Windows 10 workstation installation and administration required.
Server-based system software knowledge preferred.
Knowledge of basic TCP/IP and networking required.
Mac OS experience preferred.
ITIL experience preferred.
SCCM experience required.
Knowledge of CITRIX preferred.
Knowledge of Anti-Virus software required.
Experience with Client 0365 applications required.
Active Directory ( AD ) experience required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Professional demeanour in all situations required.
Demonstrated ability to work independently required.
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE :
High-School degree or equivalent required.
3 years technical support experience preferred.
CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent
