Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in a pivotal role where you will build, manage, and automate infrastructure, tools, and services to simplify the operation of large-scale distributed systems while owning the end-to-end customer experience to improve service performance, scalability, and reliability; your responsibilities will include managing AWS infrastructure and cloud applications, overseeing DevOps toolchain (IaC, configuration management, build and release), facilitating digital delivery, bridging gaps between business applications, cloud operations, and engineering, assisting in reviewing and analyzing application code to identify issues and provide solutions, recommending performance improvements to enhance customer experience, collaborating with development and QA teams on engineering projects, and contributing to the improvement of provisioning, automation, configuration, integration, deployment, and digital delivery processes.
A Typical Day:
The Senior DevOps Engineer will build, manage and automate infrastructure, tools and services that make operating a massive large scale distributed system simple and easy. As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be the focal point for owning end-to-end customer experience and will be channeling the requirements to improve the service performance, scalability and reliability.
The Senior DevOps Engineer will:
Infrastructure Management:
Build, manage, and automate infrastructure, tools, and services to simplify the operation of large-scale distributed systems.
Oversee AWS infrastructure and cloud-based applications.
DevOps Pipeline Management:
Manage DevOps pipelines, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, build and release processes for digital delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Bridge the gap between business applications, cloud tech operations, Site Reliability Engineering, and engineering to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Collaborate with development and QA teams on engineering projects.
Code Review and Analysis:
Review and analyze application code to identify root causes of issues.
Provide solution options, identify alternatives, and develop contingency plans.
Performance Enhancement:
Recommend application performance improvements and feature enhancements to the product development team for a better customer experience.
Improve provisioning, automation, configuration, integration, deployment, and release processes.
Cultural Alignment:
Demonstrate behaviors that align with the organization's desired culture and values.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of relevant work experience.
Experience in the financial services industry; mortgage industry experience is preferred.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency with AWS public cloud services.
Experience with Docker and containerization in public cloud environments.
Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Chef.
Knowledge of system monitoring and logging solutions, especially New Relic.
Experience with version control and DevOps tools, including GitHub, Azure DevOps, and GitLab.
Strong experience with:Windows (IIS/SQL)

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:
Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.

$90,000 - $150,000
