Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our team in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) program. The ideal candidate will have experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing websites and web applications with a focus on secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. You will work closely with DoD stakeholders to ensure that all web-based solutions meet strict security standards, functionality requirements, and user experience goals.

Responsibilities:
Work in a cross-matrix organization supporting Web Center of Excellence (WebCOE) applications. Support the DISA-J6 Engineering tasks regarding development and test requirements, migration and modernization efforts.

Provide application development and services to the Government representatives as directed.

Patch and optimize test and production web portals.

Backup data.

Resolve application user issues as they occur.

Administer the servers and the applications involved in the web portals.

Provide Internet Information Services IIS and Microsoft SQL Server services.

The WebCOE Mission Application Support task is to: (1) provide recommendations to improve mission application network performance; (2) provide IT solutions development, maintenance, and services; (3) to provide continued web development and maintenance for WebCOE public mission web applications, as specified in the Environment Document; and, (4) to document the WebCOE Enterprise SharePoint 2010 environment.

Provide support to develop Web based applications including online customer service to transform government agencies to be able to deliver their services online. Provide support in developing the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website. Provide support for the implementation of interfaces to applications.

Excellent communication skills

Understanding of Agile methodology. CMMI, ITIL a plus

Understanding of DoD, DISA cybersecurity requirements

Theme Development: Proficiency in theming using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; familiarity with popular themes like Zen or Omega.

Site Building: Ability to create content types, manage fields, taxonomies, and views.

User Management: Setting up user roles and permissions including access control.

Performance Optimization: Knowledge of caching mechanisms, database optimization, and performance enhancements.

Security Practices: Familiarity with security best practices, including user access control, data sanitation, and secure coding practices.

Migration: Experience in migrating sites from earlier versions of Drupal or other CMS platforms to Drupal 7.

Database Management: Proficiency in working with MySQL, including queries, maintaining database integrity, and backups.

Twig Templating: Familiarity with Twig templating engine used in Drupal 10 for theme development.

Configuration Management: Understanding of configuration management workflows in Drupal 10 using YAML files.

Accessibility Standards: Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and how they apply to Drupal development.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 5+ years of experience, experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

Active DoD Secret clearance

Security + (8570 compliance)

Working knowledge and experience coding in Java is required. Knowledge of several of the following areas is desirable: Active Server Pages, JavaScript, Visual Basic, Access, HTML, DBMS’s (ex.-Oracle, Sybase, etc.) and knowledge of SQL in SQL Server.

DoD Top Secret clearance - preferred

Microsoft Certification desirable

USD $79,648.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate:

Salary Disclosure:
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
