Sound Behavioral Health is growing and we are hiring an EHR application specialist in Tukwila, WA!
The EHR Application Specialist’s primary role is to support the organization’s electronic health record (EHR). The position will also support the onboarding process for new hires and provide service desk support to end users of the EHR.
This is a unique opportunity to work behind the scenes of an electronic health record system. The position is full-time and would be a great opportunity for any recent graduate who is interested in working with a variety of different components of an EHR.
This position is hybrid and will require coming into our Tukwila, WA office for orientation biweekly and other business needs.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. This position requires periodic evening and weekend work.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides ServiceDesk support for Avatar-related issues.
Provides end-user EHR support to clinical and medical teams.
Facilitates the EHR onboarding orientation session.
Creates and manages electronic health record (EHR) user accounts.
Manages prescribing accounts for medical team members.
Assists in development, implementation, and support of forms, modifications, and other enhancements to the electronic health record (EHR).
Develops reports using Crystal and SQL for the electronic health record.
Maintains documentation of standard work.
Manages monthly maintenance to the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Supports updates to the electronic health record (EHR) system.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS
Works collaboratively with the EHR Applications and Data teams to provide technical assistance and data analysis as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
KEY WORK RELATIONSHIPS
Daily collaboration with other EHR Applications team members and Project Leads to provide technical assistance and data analysis. Requires strong compatibility and exemplary trustworthiness in frequent interaction with Sound management and team members.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two years of experience with increasing responsibilities in data analysis, and maintaining, implementing and supporting an electronic health record (EHR) system, and other applications.
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Strong and diverse knowledge base and proven experience in multiple areas of Information Technology.
Customer service experience required.
Experience in a health care setting is desirable, but not required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
To successfully perform the essential duties of this position, an individual must be able to sit at a desk for four or more hours a day, and use office equipment, including phones and computer keyboards, for four or more hours per day. Individuals must be able to engage team members over the phone and in-person by voice. Regular attendance is an essential function of the position.
