Sr. QA Test Automation Developer

Specific Role Summary
This role may initially require the quality engineer operate in a non-embedded manner across multiple product teams and therefore requires strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to multi-task. The position will require testing via multiple platforms including native applications and web applications.
What you will do Essential Responsibilities
Participates in all Agile ceremonies for Team
Plans and executes tests to cover functional, integration, compatibility and regression needs and reports back findings to the Team
Helps lead test automation effort, advocating for automation and contributes to framework design and suggests process improvements
Reviews automated test runs, reports out on automated test execution and coverage statuses, and maintains broken automated tests
Understands each area of the business, grasp their processes and learn how they work together
Understands complex problems, develops solutions and can communicate to both people inside and outside of their team
Uses and modifies existing libraries / tools for automation testing
Deciphers between basic business requirements and technical requirements
Creates test strategies and plans for team and assists other teams when needed
Identifies new tools or processes for adoption
Writes general documentation regarding QE processes and tools
Develops key quality metrics and reports to stakeholders in the organization
Participates in the interview of new candidates
Purpose of the role
The Senior Quality Engineer is an essential role in the software development life cycle and ensures only properly tested software is released to production. A flawless customer experience is our top priority, and this role plays a major part in that company goal. By designing and executing properly prepared test cases (both manual and automated) and working closely together with the entire agile team, this goal is achievable. This position focuses on both the agile team as well as the QE organization.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance/engineering
Strong understanding of IT systems including system design, Object Oriented Design, databases, and programming concepts specifically HTML, browsers, JavaScript, Web Services, miscellaneous developer tools
Strong background in test automation with front end and back-end automation tools
Experience with Chrome (or another browser) Dev Tools
Proven record of strong oral/written communication, presentation, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
Ability to work within multiple platforms simultaneously
Experience testing on various mobile and desktop devices, including mobile and native applications for Android and iOS.
Understanding of API concepts and experience with automated integration testing with APIs
Work Location and Arrangement: Remote, core hours 8 AM to 5 PM
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Decision Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required
Preferred
Experience with Azure PAAS
Experience with API-level automated tests
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
