C. Qualifications and Experience:
1. Education: A Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science in Information Technology
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Oracle WebLogic Server administration is essential. This includes:
•Installation, configuration, and maintenance of WebLogic Server instances.
• Software updates/upgrades and patching
• Deployment and management of applications on WebLogic Server.
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Security administration and implementation of best practices.
•Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., WLST, Jython, Bash) for automation tasks.
•Quarterly updates of Certificate and Weblogic user passwords for bendev and dbfs accounts.
3. Oracle Certifications: While not mandatory, the following certifications are desirable:
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) - Oracle WebLogic Server 12c Administrator
• Oracle WebLogic Server 12c: Administration I and II certifications
Experience: Hands-on experience is crucial. The Fund is seeking candidates with:
• 10+ years of Proven experience in administering Oracle WebLogic Server in enterprise environments. Version (phone number removed) or higher.
• 10+ years of Experience with clustering, load balancing, and high availability configurations.
• 10+ years of Familiarity with integrating WebLogic Server with other Oracle products and third-party applications.
• Incident management and resolution skills, including on-call support if required.
• 10+ years of experience with REDHAT
• 10+ years of experience working with Windows Servers
Soft Skills: Effective communication skills are important for interacting with stakeholders, documenting processes, and training end-users. Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to system management are also highly valued. Ability to work as a team and excellent time management.
The awarded Consultant may elect to work remotely; however, such Consultant is required to be present on-site at the New York City Police Pension Fund, 233 Broadway, 25th Floor, New York, NY 10279 location, if and/or when requested by the project manager. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (EST), 35 hours per week (not including mandatory unpaid one-hour meal break).
NOTE: The awarded Consultant must work on-site for the first three (3) months of the engagement. Thereafter, an option for remote work is contingent upon the project manager's discretion
Attach a list of at least three (3) recent/relevant client references for the Consultant. The list should include the name of the reference entity and contact information (name, title, telephone number and email address) of a responsible person for the reference entity.
