Python Backend Developer

Immediate need for a talented Python Backend Developer. Tehis is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in McLean VA (Hybrid). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $50 - $55/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

Work on a project focusing on backend development to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.

Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.

Utilize technologies including Python, Node.js, AWS tools and services, and microservices.

Identify gaps and solve problems to completion utilizing multiple technologies.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

Python

Node

AWS – Lambda, Dynamo

Java – Preferred

5+ years of professional software engineering experience in Python and Node.js

3+ years of professional experience in software test practices including unit testing, integration testing, and functional testing

1+ years of experience in Java

Experience with AWS and/or AWS Certification (Solution Architect-Associate preferred)

Experience working in an Agile environment

Bachelor’s Degree

At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience in Python and Node.js.
