Quality Carriers, Inc. (QC), headquartered in Tampa, FL, is North America's largest bulk liquid chemical carrier. Through a network of more than 100 terminals and facilities, we transport a broad range of chemical products and provide our customers with value-added transportation services.
The main purpose of this position is to ensure the accurate and timely application of cash deposits from the bank to our accounts receivable system. This position requires research in order to identify and allocate payments to the appropriate accounts and invoices. Maintain 100% accuracy goals
Duties/Responsibilities:
Knowledge to proficiently handle all aspects of the cash application process, including posting ACH, wires, credit card, and lockbox payments, while following established procedures in accordance with firm policies.
Verify the accuracy of payment information and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Perform various types of client account adjustments, such as credit memos, application of unapplied funds, write-offs, and refunds.
Analytical and investigative approach in the resolution of unidentified funds.
Research and resolve email inquiries with accuracy.
Perform duties of information management, scanning, and retrieving payment backup as needed.
Effectively communicate with internal teams via phone, email, or in person.
Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to handle high quantity data entry with minimal errors
Strong math aptitude and ability to work accurately with numbers
Must have basic skills in MS Excel
Good written and verbal communication skills
Able to work well with others; Exceptional attention to details
Able to meet deadlines, multi-task and work independently
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Experience:
1-2 years related work experience in Cash Application and/or Accounts Receivable, required
Basic experience in accounting functions is a plus
Experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
