Overview:
The Senior Digital Media and Education Systems Specialist is responsible for producing interactive educational media content. The specialist is a highly experienced technician and administrator with a demonstrated track record of working across teams and functional areas. This includes creating instructional content, live-action videos, graphics, and other multi-media products for learning and development programs and projects at Seven Hills. They are also the primary point person for the design and maintenance of the staff learning and development Sharepoint page and the LMS.
The specialist’s role is to plan, produce and edit high quality video/audio narratives, digital course material, and other content. This individual must be able to envision and execute creative and innovative approaches to bring content to life in collaboration with a range of stakeholders, and have significant technical expertise as a producer, with strengths in video editing and motion graphics production as well as proficiency in other areas of video and multi-media production (e.g., shooting, lighting, audio, graphic design).
Candidate must have excellent narrative and visual storytelling skills to ensure projects, and methods of delivery, effectively engage the appropriate target audience. They must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent communication, leadership and diplomatic skills in collaborating with staff, subject matter experts, instructional designers, and others across the Foundation.
Responsibilities:
Plans, develops, and produces educational video/audio/multimedia components, managing production schedules and equipment, and directing instructors and subject matter experts. Working in collaboration with instructional designers and learning design specialists.
Execute creative and innovative approaches to bring content to life in collaboration with a range of stakeholders, demonstrating significant technical expertise as a producer, with strengths in video editing and graphics production as well as proficiency in other areas of video and multi-media production.
Edits video footage/audio files and creates motion graphics to produce high quality, effective, and engaging media assets.
Integrates media assets into learning programs, LMS and other produced material.
Supports the Learning & Development team by identifying and sharing best practices, resources, and ideas around media production.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Film/media production, multi-media communications or substantial work-related experience. Experience may substitute for area of degree focus. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in video/audio post-production (filming, recording, editing, motion graphics, compression)
Experience with professional video and audio cameras, and production equipment
Experience with video and audio editing and production software
Exceptional narrative skills and content judgment
Familiarity with digital content strategy and media conversion tools
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
Must be self-motivated with a mindset towards continuous quality improvement
A positive, collegial attitude and a high level of professionalism
Experience with Final Cut Pro X (or similar professional video
Fluency in current video technology and media production best practices
Ability to storyboard a project and to help others to visualize
Ability to take complex subjects and explain them clearly
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently
Proficiency in graphic design software - Adobe Creative Suite applications
