Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Iselin, NJ. This is a 24+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:
Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Network Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Network Engineering deliverables
Review and analyze moderately complex Network Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Network Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Collaborate with client personnel in Network Engineering
Participate in the coordination, installation, support, and maintenance of network infrastructure with a focus on enterprise network, supporting our Data Center exits into a new Data Center operating model
Provide technical support to end users via troubleshooting skills across both network and system applications
Integrate, consolidate and maintain network services across but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, wireless devices
Coordinate, design, implement and validate in accordance with our latest architectural design standards, implementation, and validation through best practices
Requirements:
4+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years of experience designing and implementing LAN/WAN/Datacenter solutions for large enterprise environment
3+ years of experience with IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, Static), specializing in implementing DDoS mitigation strategies and configuring ACLs in a large enterprise environment
3+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, military experience, education
3+ years of experience with configuration of routing and switching latest platforms and solutions - Cisco Nexus and/or Arista product line
Desired Skills:
CCNA, CCNP/DP or CCIE Certification preferred - Datacenter
Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering and/or 3+ years of Networking experience
Demonstrated skill with creating and/or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teams
Experience working in a Product/Agile environment utilizing Atlassian Jira products
Experience and familiarity with Change control processes - Service Now
Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal, influencing, and relationship building skills
Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio Professional
Experience with regulatory and auditor collaboration
Experience preferred with scripting YAML/Python/Ansible/GITHUB
Ability to make decisions quickly in a high-volume hosting environment
Ability to solve complex problems and analyze issues
Ability to coordinate, document and drive flawless execution
