Senior Java Engineer
Salt Lake City, UT or Remote
Contract: $80-$110 per hour
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Back-End Java Engineer to join our team focused on enhancing our financial wellness platform.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with product managers, the engineering team, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Build, design, and develop high-performance back-end components using Java/Kotlin and related frameworks.
Ensure the scalability and performance of code by writing clean, maintainable, and efficient solutions.
Meet project milestones within defined timelines, delivering on short-term objectives in an efficient manner.
Conduct peer reviews to uphold high-quality coding standards and contribute to a collaborative development environment.
Requirements
5+ years of programming experience with a modern stack.
Expertise in Java, Spring, AWS, Kotlin and PostgreSQL, Kubernetes.
Strong grasp of relational databases and ORMs.
Microservices architecture experience.
Experience with CI/CD systems and GIT.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
Experience scaling mission-critical, highly available systems.
Full-stack knowledge in areas like systems (Kafka, Temporal, Docker), databases (DynamoDB), or front-end (JavaScript/TypeScript, React).
Previous experience in B2B development.
