This role integrates business analysis expertise with a strong understanding of mental health practices to enhance our Accounts Receivable, Billing, Contracts, and Financial Counseling processes. As an Office Business Analyst, you will drive improvements in operational workflows and financial processes while ensuring effective contract management.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems and Software Management:
Evaluate and recommend software tools and systems to support billing, financial management, and contract administration.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of financial and administrative systems.
Provide support in troubleshooting system issues and implementing software upgrades.
Business Process Analysis and Improvement:
Analyze current business processes related to Accounts Receivable, Billing, Contracts, and Financial Counseling.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design, document, and implement improved business workflows.
Financial Data Analysis:
Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Develop and generate regular reports on financial performance, billing accuracy, and contract compliance.
Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and strategic planning.
Contract Analysis and Management:
Review and analyze contracts with clients, vendors, and partners to ensure alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
Track contract performance, renewals, and amendments, and provide recommendations for renegotiation or adjustments as needed.
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with contractual obligations.
Financial Counseling Support:
Analyze financial data to support patient financial counseling efforts, including billing inquiries and payment plans.
Develop and implement strategies to improve patient financial experience and address common issues.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with clinical, administrative, and finance teams to ensure alignment between business processes and mental health service delivery.
Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements, present findings, and drive project initiatives.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare detailed documentation of business processes, system configurations, and analysis results.
Create and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to track performance metrics and project progress.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CBAP) is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business analyst role, preferably within the healthcare or behavioral health sector.
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Proficiency in business analysis tools, financial management software, and office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems).
Strong experience with project management and functional business flow mapping software, such as MS Project, Visio, or similar tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Bizagi, or Creately).
Experience in process improvement, system integration, and project management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Familiarity with mental health and behavioral health practices and regulations is highly desirable.
