Overview:
The GIS Project Manager will serve as the technical lead to coordinate project plans and participate in the development and implementation of the organization’s GIS and/or alphanumeric systems to meet the organization’s service objective OR & WA BLM Branch of Geographic Sciences.

 

Work Environment:

Location: NV5 Geospatial Headquarters, Regional offices, or work from home considered

Travel <10% of the time (some occasional on-site visits required).

Responsibilities:
Manage data, deliverables, and aspects of the GIS project.

Maintain responsibility for the overall execution of the tasks.

Assigns, schedules, and reviews the work of subordinates.

Organizes, directs, and coordinates planning and production of all task/delivery order support activities.

Directs the generation, performance, and review of task/delivery order deliverable items.

Qualifications:
Requirements: 

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering or related field*

3+ years proven work experience managing GIS projects

Proficient in legal land descriptions and cadastral work.

Demonstrated experience planning, executing, and closing projects on time and within budget.

Experience in managing project resources, including deliverables and personnel allocation.

* Additional experience can be substituted for education

Additional education can be substituted for years of experience
