Applications System Administrator, Journeyman (001)

RMC is hiring for a Applications System Administrator who will provide server and workstation support to for NAS Pax River.  The selected applicant will perform a variety of infrastructure and integration activities including but not limited to: 

Support virtual and physical server configurations

Administer Web Application servers in support of client applications

Perform general IT requirements, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security in a classified or unclassified network environment

Provide Server 2019 administration

Support the virtualization of Windows systems (VMWare ESXi)

Provide ACAS/Nessus vulnerability and scanning support

Monitoring performance including monitoring disk space, utilization, capacity and availability

Support ISSOs in implementing and supporting cyber security standards to include NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) C&A Standards

Create and maintain user accounts, and install hardware/software

Perform system backup and recovery

DoD STIG / SCAP / ACAS compliance

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree and three to ten (3-10) years of experience in related infrastructure, operating systems, system administration work is required. 

Six (6) years of additional related work experience or an Associate’s Degree and four (4) years of additional related work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.

Must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE) or higher to start

An active DoD Tops Secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
