Position Summary:
Vista Equity Partners is seeking an IT Support Technician Intern for Summer 2025. In this 10-week paid internship, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience providing Tier 1 tech support and troubleshooting for in-office and remote users.
Our 2025 Summer program will be based in our Austin, TX office. Exceptional interns may be considered for full-time roles following graduation.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for end users seeking technical assistance.
Assist with in-person and remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques.
Support Tier 1 & 2 issues and escalate to senior technicians when needed.
Participate in field service activities, including equipment installs, repairs, and maintenance.
Help with employee onboarding/offboarding, including setting up accounts, licenses, and equipment.
Support IT inventory management and suggest improvements to processes.
Collaborate with the IT team to deliver exceptional service and maintain documentation.
Occasional lifting of equipment (up to 50lbs) and bending/climbing for cable access.
Qualifications:
Expected Graduation of Spring 2026 with a Bachelor or Associate degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, MacOS), Microsoft technology (Active Directory, M365, Azure), and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow).
Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality, professional service.
