Job Requirements / Description
Allstates Consulting Services is looking for a Network Technician who has a valid CCNA and Deliver and configure network infrastructure equipment, services and solutions needed to support client networking systems and environments. Perform day-to-day field installation, configuration, service, preventive maintenance, and decommission of dedicated and shared data infrastructure such as computers, network equipment and/or other telecommunications and network devices.
Position Details:
Hourly position based upon experience & skill level
Contract with possible contract extension(s)
Standard work hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm
Location: Onsite - Hillsboro, OR 97124
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
Proven experience as network technician/administrator or relevant position
Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies
Troubleshoot networking, routing and inter connectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration
Review, design, and implement solutions for our customers to meet their requirements
Complete network equipment installation, testing, maintenance, and configuration activities of a variety of network equipment
Responsible for implementing standard changes
Participate in meetings and represent the company with customers, vendors and provide input on various initiatives
Keep updated on emerging technologies and standard business practices
Perform network closet clean-up, switch port optimization, and survey work as needed.
Represent the organization when needed in technical meetings and briefings
Propose and implement hardware and software upgrades that will improve the performance and reliability of the network system
Required Qualifications:
Active CCNA certification
2-5 years of experience with Cisco Routers and Switches
Solid knowledge of Cisco command line configuration
General comprehension of the various components and sub-components of data center infrastructure.
Excellent judgement and analytical skills, ability to prioritize tasks based on fluctuating needs
