Systems Administrator (Mid-Level)

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team at Good Shepherd. As a Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our hospital's information technology infrastructure and related services. This position will play a key role in the management, planning, and operations of IT systems, including using best practices for business operation, and ensuring IT system’s high availability and functionality across the health system.

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include:

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Cloud and hybrid environments – Including but not limited to Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory/Azure AD, Intune, Defender, O365, and VMWare.

Working knowledge of Linux server administration.

Demonstrated experience with network administration (Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, VLAN, DMZ, Etc.)

Demonstrated experience with SAN, NAS, and other storage systems

Implement and utilize tools to maintain and monitor technical infrastructure.

Demonstrated experience with scripting languages (I.E. PowerShell, batch, bash, python, etc.)

Demonstrated experience with process automation

Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7/365.

Maintain regulatory compliance by staying abreast of current trends and regulations in the IT and Healthcare industries.

Develop and maintain detailed documentation related to policies, standard operating procedures, and processes.

Demonstrated experience with technical writing

Promote a culture that reflects the organization’s values and spirit of service that encourages good performance and enhances productivity.

This position reports to the IT Director and will assist with the development of department goals and objectives. This position will work in partnership with the IT department staff and Application Team Supervisor to provide service excellence to the Good Shepherd Health Care System community and its patients. Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent job experience

A minimum of ten (5) years relevant work experience

Ability to lead technical projects and work with vendors and staff with different skills sets and backgrounds

Demonstrated experience in cyber security administration standards – including but not limited to NIST publication guidelines, HIPAA compliance, and Microsoft security administration.

Working knowledge of healthcare operations and HIPAA data security

Working knowledge of PACS communications and operations.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Strong analytical skills

Ability to get things done in a timely manner with high quality and thoroughness

Detail oriented, organized and highly motivated

Ability to maintain a “think outside the box” approach

Positive attitude, great teamwork mindset, and a willingness to assist wherever needed

Ability to provide team leadership and collaboration

Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time and stay organized
