DevOps Engineer
Ft Belvoir, VA
MUST:
Active Secret US Government Security Clearance Required
Experienced DevOps Engineer
5 plus years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development (Java preferred)
Experience with Cloud related technologies such as Hadoop and NoSQL databases (e.g. Accumulo) required
Prior experience with Distributed Computing and Big Data required
Must have a solid understanding of Linux systems, hosts, networks, security, applications and proficiency in shell scripting (Shell/Bash, JavaScript, Python)
Previous experience with Elasticsearch is preferred
Experience with AWS is strongly preferred
Experience or familiarity with our Big Data Platform is preferred
Experience with data parsing/transforming techniques to include JSON, XML, CSV formats
Certifications to meet the DOD 8570 IAT certifications (i.e. Security+ or higher level)
Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites. (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise, etc.)
Bachelor s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline is required. Educational requirements may be adjusted for applicable work experience.
DUTIES:
The ideal candidate will work as a part of a systems team to oversee and evaluate standards, requirements, and schedules of multiple client projects
Provide seamless integration and coordination between projects
Ensure technical and programmatic baselines of ongoing client initiatives are consistent across all program development efforts, anticipate system interface requirements, assess risks, and enforce configuration control processes
Provide input and analysis on technical design of a physical and/or logical nature as well as making technical recommendations of system implementations
