Seeking a Scrum Master to work on a contract role with a leading financial services company, in Chicago, IL.
Position Description
The client is seeking a Scrum Master for their FX Front Office Technology group to lead and facilitate agile processes across two key teams: one focused on Data Modernization and the other on upgrading the Position Management System. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in technology-driven environments, particularly within the financial services industry. A strong understanding of front-office trading (preferably FX) and data management is highly desirable. The role involves leading agile ceremonies, managing cross-team communications, working closely with external vendors, and removing technical blockers. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical proficiency in software development processes are essential. Familiarity with agile tools like ADO and Confluence is required.
Qualifications (must haves):
*Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, IT or IT related field
*5+ years of experience as a scrum master in a technology-driven environment, with experience in the financial services industry
*Ideally an understanding of front-office trading (ideally FX) and data management
*Demonstrated ability to work with external vendors and manage complex, multi-team projects
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage an influence stakeholders at all levels
*Technical proficiency in understanding software development processes
*Experience with agile tools such as ADO and Confluence
Tasks & Responsibilities:
*Agile Facilitation
*Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies for both teams.
*Ensure adherence to agile principles and practices, and act as a coach to improve team performance and efficiency continuously.
*Work closely with the teams to understand the technical nuances of their work and work with enterprise teams to support them or remove blockers impeding progress.
Communication & Collaboration:
*Serve as a primary point of contact for cross-team communication, ensuring alignment between agile teams, auxiliary groups & enterprise initiatives.
*Facilitate communication with external vendors, ensuring that requirements are clearly understood and deliverables met.
