State Farm's Innovation Group is looking for passionate students to join our Summer Internship Program! As a UX Design Intern, you will be part of a team whose purpose is to future-proof State Farm. Knowing that the future is unknown and ever-changing, the Innovation Group anticipates where the customer is headed and consistently cultivates and executes forward-looking solutions to prepare State Farm for what is coming. Qualifications:
We Are Looking For The Following:
Courses on or Majors in UX/UI Design or equivalent majors including but not limited to Consumer Experience, Quantitative/Qualitative Research Methods, Digital Humanities, Web Design, and related majors.
Drive and initiative to lead and affect positive change
Leadership skills through extracurricular and professional endeavors
Ability to thrive in a team environment, both in-person and virtual
Effective communication skills, both oral and written
A can-do attitude, and someone who loves to have fun!
The ability to work in an environment that emphasizes information sharing, collaboration, teamwork, mutual respect, and integrity.
Strong aptitude and desire to learn new things.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Human-centered design, ideation, game design, and mixed-method research
Customer journey-mapping, service design, wireframing/prototyping, and Figma
Adobe Design Suite, Mural, and other collaborative ideation, and design tools.
Internship Program Eligibility:
Students who apply MUST be returning to school for at least one semester following the summer internship.
Selected interns must reside within the continental U.S. for the duration of the summer internship.
Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B visa) for this opportunity
What You Can Expect:
The internship will occur between May 19, 2025 – August 1, 2025
We will host in-person onboarding in Bloomington, IL
Hours: Monday-Friday, 38.75 hours per weekDue to the short duration of the summer program, it is an expectation that hired interns will be available for the duration of the summer internship with little to no disruption in work schedule.
Pay: $28.00/hour. In addition, interns selected for our summer internship program will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend!
Work Arrangement:
Remote: Qualified candidates (outside of locations listed below) may be considered for 100% remote work arrangements based on where a candidate currently resides or is currently located. Remote interns could be asked to travel to an assigned location throughout the summer for onboarding and various events.
HUB LOCATIONS: Dunwoody, GA; Richardson, TX; Tempe, AZ; or Bloomington, IL
