Application Developer

I have a full time opportunity for an Application Developer (AVP Level) for one of our top investment banks in Midtown Manhattan. If you have solid SQL or NoSQL skills along with development in Python, please take a look at the job description.

This is a hybrid role with a very generous base salary and bonus structure.

Responsibilities:

• Apply modern engineering principles using Python, SQL and SPARK distributed compute to develop applications and other solutions.

• Develop web applications using modern technologies such as Node, ReactJS, HTML/CSS

• Contribute and build on AWS and Lakehouse platforms using tools like Databricks, or Hive, or Spark

• Work on close partnership with investment teams

• Analyze complex business workflows and translate them into software solutions

• Use cloud based modern CI/CD pipeline and development practices

Qualifications:

• 2-5yrs experience in an application developer or software engineer role

• Experience of working with SQL and NoSQL databases

• Familiar with agile software development

• Exposure to AWS or other cloud computing service

• Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Databricks, Hive, Spark, and Scala
