Responsibilities:
PeopleTec is currently seeking a Mid-Level SATCOM Systems Analyst to support our Peterson SFB, CO location.

The candidate will provide technical services to the Wideband Consolidated SATCOM System Expert (C-SSE), Operations and Plans Branch, Delta 8, United States Space Force (USSF).  Knowledge of Wideband SATCOM systems is necessary and familiarity with the North American Treaty Organization (NATO) Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) international agreement is desired.

 

Provide Wideband SATCOM Subject Matter Expertise for Wideband SATCOM Plans and Operations:

Serves as technical consultant for transmissions management and control in the Super High Frequency (SHF), Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) functional area.

Develop/coordinate policy and plans for the WGS programs. Develop definitive technical solutions that consider systems architecture, interoperability, interfaces, protocols, networking, expansion potential and overall end-to-end compatibility

Participates as consultant, advisor, or member in various DoD, Joint, and MILDEP planning and working groups

Analyze, evaluate, and recommend solutions to future communications and automation operational challenges.

Use knowledge of SATCOM systems and their relationships to other telecommunications networks

Provides technical and operational planning, system configuration and operational mission support.

Responsible for the development, preparation and coordination of Wideband SATCOM and related information systems plans defining concepts, programmatics, and system initiative. Develops and provides input to the USSF Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE).

Responsible for Management of C2 MILSATCOM network management programs.

Develops technical and management comments reflecting the command position with respect to USSF and joint actions, interface with other command and higher authority. Review and comment of government documents resulting from these evaluations include such factors as feasibility, technical adequacy, interoperability, and integration into current systems and future planning.

Provides lessons learned to Materiel Developer and Combat Developer, and helps ensure MILSATCOM and related information systems employment adheres to USSF and USSPACECOM doctrine.

Assists in managing Wideband SATCOM ground segment for transition to current/future satellites through concept, development, testing, procurement, production, and fielding.

Ensures that developmental tactical automation systems are interoperable with and integrated into tactical communications equipment and are designed to meet user requirements, overall military specifications, and budgetary constraints.

Works at senior level to define, integrate, and implement strategic direction for Wideband programs having long-term effects. Develops/presents briefings to convey strategic vision or organizational policies.

Recommends decisions and policies in planning for new Wideband SATCOM program requirements.

Qualifications:
Required Skills/Experience:

Understanding of ITAR and AECA regulations and guidelines

Travel: 25%

Must be a U.S. Citizen

An active DoD TOP Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active TOP Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

 

Education Requirements:

Bachelors Degree or 5 years of experience

 

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of Wideband SATCOM, preferably transmissions and payload control and mission planning experience

Significant military familiarity and training in SATCOM 

Ability to demonstrate proficiency in SATCOM principles, technical analysis, and problem solving

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)

10 years of Department of Defense (DoD) SATCOM experience

Knowledge of International Trafficking in Arms and Arms Export Control Act
