What You'll Do

Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate the deployment and management of cloud resources.

As a Platform Engineer, collaborate with data engineers, data scientists and data analysts to optimize data workflows and ensure seamless integration.

Monitor and troubleshoot Data platform services such as distributed storage, compute, and streaming.  

Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, proactively suggesting improvements and innovations.

 Who You Are

BS /MS degree in Computer Science, or a related field

5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on platform engineering and cloud infrastructure

Extensive experience with Databricks and managing large scale data processing environments.

Strong expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda and Cloud Formation.

Proficiency in Python for data engineering and scripting tasks. SQL is always plus.

Hands on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.

Familiarity with data engineering concepts and tools (e.g.: Apache Spark, ETL processes

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

Strong communication and self-motivated.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (Git Lib, Terraform Cloud)

Certification in AWS, Terraform or relevant technologies.
