SEARCH Group Partners, a premier recruiting firm, is looking for Python Web/API Developer for one of our clients located in Salt Lake City, UT. This position has a hybrid work schedule, working in the office 2-3 days each week.
This position's primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. Position will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements into the application; therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well. A focus on security will be absolutely critical as a significant amount of data exchanges center around highly-secure information to and from customers.
Here are a few things you'll likely find yourself doing in this role...
Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
Implementation of security and data protection
Integration of data storage solutions (may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.)
Here's what you need to have...
3+ years of experience in Python, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework such as Django, Flask, etc.
Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries
Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
Knowledge of securing APIs, including the use of authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT), encryption, and mitigating common vulnerabilities (e.g., injection attacks, cross-site scripting).
Experience with user/non-user authentication and authorization systems across multiple platforms.
Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
Strong unit test and debugging skills
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
Knowledge of some of our other core languages such as React.js, Rust, C++, and others
