Job Description:
Position: Sr. Power BI Developer
Location: C olumbus, OH - Day 1 Onsite
Duration: Full-Time Opportunity
Minimum 6-10 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics with at least 3 years specifically in PowerBI development
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills Power BI Proficiency:
" Expertise in creating interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards.
" Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service.
Data Integration:
" Ability to connect to a wide range of data sources, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other cloud and on-premises sources.
" Experience with Power Query for data transformation and cleansing.
Azure Services:
" Knowledge of integrating Power BI with Azure services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure Delta Lake.
" Experience with Azure Analysis Services and Azure Synapse Analytics.
Security and Data Governance:
" Understanding of row-level security (RLS) and other security features in Power BI.
" Knowledge of data governance practices and compliance requirements.
" Knowledge on NIST standards and guidelines
Performance Optimization:
" Skills in optimizing Power BI reports for performance, including data load optimization and query performance tuning.
Power BI Administration:
" Experience with managing Power BI workspaces, datasets, and dataflows.
" Understanding of Power BI Premium and its features.
Experience Required
" Experience in creating complex dashboards and reports
" Proven ability to work with large datasets
" Hands-on experience in performance tuning and optimization
Roles & Responsibilities
" Design, develop, and maintain PowerBI reports and dashboards
" Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements
" Optimize and improve existing BI solutions
Generic Managerial Skills
" Ability to lead and mentor junior developers
" Excellent project management skills
" Ability to work under tight deadlines
" Strong organizational skills
