Overview:
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a client focused problem-solver to join our collaborative and innovative GIS team.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include coordinating with Mead & Hunt’s IT team to monitor and upkeep the ESRI Enterprise server and GIS Portal; working with the Database Administrators to obtain datasets, write queries, create data visualization tools in Power BI, and coordinate with end-users; developing processes to access and/or store key datasets; developing key performance indicator calculation methodologies; utilizing data sources to create visualization tools; coordinating with end users to refine tools for efficient use.
The hours for this position could vary monthly from zero to 10, and potentially more. It is currently an on-call (i.e. no benefits) position, but could potentially be turned into a regular, full-time position.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in geography, environmental science, or related field and at least six (6) years of relevant GIS experience; OR, if no degree, must have at least ten (10) years of related experience.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
14+ years of relevant GIS experience
Proficiency in designing, implementing and maintaining robust ESRI architectures tailored to the specific needs of utility organizations, while utilizing ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS for server to ensure optimal performance and scalability
Experience with ESRI’s JavaScript API to develop tailored web applications
Experience conducting geospatial analysis using ArcGIS Pro and Python scripting
Proficiency in data visualization software such as Power BI, Tableau, ArcGIS Pro, etc.
