At Oceania International, we are seeking a highly detail-oriented Content Editor & UX Specialist who will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of accuracy and consistency across all company materials. The individual in this role will be responsible for meticulously proofreading all written content, including product materials, spec sheets, instruction manuals, blogs, social media posts, and other communication materials. The ideal candidate must have a sharp eye for grammar, punctuation, and spelling, ensuring that all content is polished and professional. Attention to detail is not just a skill but a core requirement for success in this role.

Beyond proofreading, the Content Editor & UX Specialist will collaborate with the marketing and product teams to review graphics, videos, and content creation. This role will also provide input on website layouts, user experience, and customer interaction to ensure a seamless experience that adheres to the company’s brand guidelines and standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for consistency and a strong commitment to producing high-quality content across multiple platforms.

Requirements

Establish Content Standards: Create, update, and ensure organizational content standards and guidelines for proofreading and reviewing content

Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance checks of content that has been reviewed by peers to ensure standards and guidelines are being followed.

Proofreading and Editing: Review and edit company-wide materials, including product specifications, instruction manuals, marketing materials, and social media content. Ensure correct grammar, tone, and spelling across platforms.

Content Creation: Develop content for blogs, product descriptions, social media, and instructional materials, ensuring alignment with Oceania’s branding.

Graphics and Multimedia: Oversee the creation and accuracy of text within graphics and videos. Collaborate with the design team on layouts and visual aesthetics.

User Experience Testing: Test and review website and mobile layouts, ensuring smooth user experiences across platforms. Provide feedback on design aspects such as text size, font, and color.

Customer Experience Optimization: Provide suggestions on improving user experience related to content presentation, such as font size, color combinations, and overall design.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and web design, to ensure consistency in content and layout.

Branding and Tone Management: Ensure that all content aligns with the company’s branding strategies and effectively communicates the company’s values.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in content editing, proofreading, or related roles.

Demonstrated obsession with detail—a sharp eye for grammar, punctuation, and syntax is critical.

Experience in UX and content creation across various platforms.

Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of industry best practices for content editing and branding.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working on a computer.

Occasional travel may be required.
