Job Requirements / Description
The role requires expertise including hands-on experience with server infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud computing to architect and maintain high availability production systems in Public/Private Cloud environments. Experience with secure, infrastructure deployment in the cloud using Agile and DevOps concepts is highly desired.
Full infrastructure stack and lifecycle experience with enterprise DNS and load balancing, DMZ application behavior including firewall connectivity and external interfaces, Identity and Access management (IAM), domain controllers, security controls for the Public Cloud, monitoring tools and agents, OS images and hardening, distributed and parallel file systems including disk encryption, and software installation, configuration and patching is highly desired.
The ideal candidate would have a developer background and experience in automation and scripting with hands on experience with Azure Resource Manager, ARM Templates, Azure Policies, Python and Terraform.
Required Skills/Experience:
Senior hands-on Software Developer with strong proficiency in Java programming language
Experience designing, and implementing APIs
Experience using Terraform to develop, test, and deploy cloud infrastructure as code, as well as define and provision infrastructure resources
Experience with one or more cloud platforms including Azure (highly preferred), GCP, AWS
Experience with Containerization tools including Docker and/or Kubernetes
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Strong proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Go, and/or C++
Proficiency with API management solutions like Azure APIM
Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Azure Resource Manager
Experience with cloud-based technologies and services such as Serverless and/or Cloud Messaging
Preferred Certifications: Azure, Terraform, AWS and/or GCP
Additional:
Duration: 12-month contract to hire opportunity
Hybrid: 3 days onsite required weekly in Jersey City, NJ office
Rate Range: $80-85/hr. W2 (based on experience)
