PC Tech/Test Engineer

Education and Experience: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical , Electrical is preferred) or - Associate s Degree in Electrical, Industrial, Electronics Technology and - Experience performing in an engineering capacity the skills and abilities listed below Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: - Knowledge of electrical system operations, distribution systems, and underground construction practices. - Knowledge of SCADA, RTU, PLC, DCS, GIS is preferred. - Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams, troubleshoot equipment, and make sound decisions under pressure. - Ability to work in adverse conditions (heat, cold, wet, etc.) outdoors and to access below grade, tightly enclosed spaces by means of ladders up to 35ft in length. - Proficiency with MS office products and other related engineering software systems. - Ability to prioritize and organize work to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines. - Must be able to build relationships and communicate with customers, engineers, sales, corporate partners, and crew personnel. - Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills. - Ability to prioritize customer service both internally and externally. JOB SUMMARY The Network Underground P&C Test Engineer role ensures the safe and efficient installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of the Network Underground Systems in Atlanta, Macon, Columbus, Augusta, Athens, Savannah, and Valdosta. Responsibilities include working on energized equipment in enclosed spaces that are below grade, writing switching orders and utilizing hot line tools to perform circuit switching on medium voltage equipment (4KV to 25KV), assisting in the development and implementation of new technology for SCADA system monitoring, participating in an on-call rotation and responding to system emergencies and concerns as they arise, handling customer inquiries (voltage complaints, claims, etc.), and communicating effectively with high profile customers to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The posting will be for a P&C Test Engineer or P&C Test Technician. Note for this role: Associates Degree Technician, Bachelor degree - Engineer Note: Position requires candidate to be available 24/7 when on-call (rotating schedule), it includes paid overtime, and statewide travel. Candidate must be available to travel on short notice for extended periods of time sometimes including overnight stays, weekends, and holidays. PPE Requirement - a. Clothing must be FR or made of 100 percent natural fibers. When entering energized transformer vaults and manholes the most outer layer of clothing must be FR. FR jumpsuit/coverall is permissible. i. Example of 100% natural fibers are cotton, wool, and leather. As an additional precaution avoid wearing loose-fitting clothes that may get entangled in moving machinery. b. Work shoes w/steel or composite toed. Work shoes must comply with ASTM 2413 standards. c. Hardhat, Safety glasses, work gloves, at least Class 2 Safety Vest,
