Overview:
Position Overview

The Operations Data Analyst will support the SVP, Operations by providing data-driven insights used to develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives. Use statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis to develop and deploy tools including dashboards, infographics, reports, and models to inform and support decision-making. Mines, processes, and analyzes internal and external data using KPIs, business results, industry sources, and customer information. Develops a good understanding of the business's model, objectives, issues, and challenges by interacting and collaborating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Specific Responsibilities

· Develops and updates weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting package.

· Utilizes various business tools to collect and analyze data, including but not limited to, Oracle, PowerBI, and Microsoft Excel.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, analyze and interpret data related to KPIs, operational performance, and areas of opportunity.

· Identify and address discrepancies in data or process(es) and drive corrective actions to ensure data integrity.

· Develop and present clear and concise reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.

· Builds executive summaries for leadership, including KPI reporting, analyzation notes of trends and recommendations to address areas of opportunity.

· Recommends new processes related to operation optimization, efficiency, output, and cost control/reduction.

· Documents processes through SOP or work instruction/job aid management.

· Develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationship with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.

Qualifications:
The Candidate

Education, Experience, and Licenses:

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting.

· 3-5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.

· Ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing robust analytics reporting and utilizing analysis and data automation tools in a manufacturing environment.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Strong analytic skills and an understanding of economics, financial concepts, and Lean Manufacturing.

· Able to create and present well-developed presentations, including graphs, charts, project overviews, and detailed summaries of key takeaways.

· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook required.

· Very strong proficiency in MS Excel required.

· Experience with Oracle preferred.

· An aptitude to learn new software applications as needed.

· Strong written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to handle detailed work accurately and quickly.

· Comfortable working in production and warehouse environments with automated and manual equipment and machinery.

· Able to meet deadlines on multiple projects and work in a team-oriented atmosphere.

· Good interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail; must be a self-starter with the ability to work without daily supervision.
