Job Title: ServiceNow ITSM Developer 7 plus years of experience
Overview
The ServiceNow ITSM Developer plays a crucial role in designing and developing
efficient solutions in the ServiceNow platform, specifically focusing on IT Service
Management (ITSM). The position is vital for ensuring seamless operations and
enhanced user experience within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for
ServiceNow functionality
Design, develop, and implement custom applications and workflows in
ServiceNow ITSM
Perform system integration and data migration tasks within the ServiceNow
platform
Configure and customize ServiceNow modules and applications to meet
business needs
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow ITSM platform
Implement best practices for coding, testing, and implementing ServiceNow
solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ServiceNow development projects
Implement and maintain ServiceNow integrations with third-party systems.
Integrations: Implement integrations with other systems and applications
using REST/SOAP APIs, ensuring seamless data flow.
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules, especially in ITSM and CMDB.
Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing solutions
that meet user requirements
Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to sprint planning and
review sessions
Keep up-to-date with ServiceNow best practices and new features
Monitor and optimize ServiceNow performance.
Development: Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications,
modules, and workflows using JavaScript, Glide APIs, and ServiceNow best
practices.
Reporting and Analytics: Create and manage reports, dashboards, and metrics to
monitor platform performance and support decision-making.
Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide
solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Best Practices: Stay updated on ServiceNow releases, best practices, and
emerging technologies to continually improve the platform.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-
functional teams..
User Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow
users, resolving issues in a timely manner.
Translate functional specifications into logical, competent-based technical
designs
Coordinate with vendor for ServiceNow product defects
Planning, organizing, and managing work in an Agile Scrum work model utilizing
Sprint and Kanban processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related
field
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification
Minimum of 7 years of experience in ServiceNow development and
implementation
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for ServiceNow customization
Experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and best practices
Proficiency in configuring and managing the CMDB within ServiceNow
Proven experience in ServiceNow integration with external systems and
applications
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile
environments
Proficiency in SQL and database management for ServiceNow
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
Experience in developing and implementing Service Portal or other user
interfaces is a plus
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification is a plus
