Job Description
As Quality and Automation Engineer you will be responsible for building the automation capability for McDonald’s global mobile app. You will be in charge to sign off a build for detailed regression based on the automated health checks run on existing and new unit/component/integration tests. The role is key to ensure the builds are not regressing the core functionality of the app and the rollback strategy is automated and keeps the app ready for prod gating criteria.
Key Responsibilities
Be responsible for building & adopting an efficient framework for test automation and CI/CD
Create component level heatmaps with dev squads to run build health tests.
Drive testing automation initiatives that directly impact defect leakage for all markets
Develop and evolve standardized test case creation tool from architecture diagrams.
Be proficient at agile continuous delivery, DevOps and TDD/BDD and champion the culture, processes, and tools required to maintain automation up & running.
Can see the bigger picture and be a partner to product management, engineering, and the digital team.
Work with the Global Architecture and Engineering teams to understand the problem to solve which would drive the ROI on automation – faster deployment and testing cycles, easier triage from reporting.
