Food Ingredient Sales Support Manager - CRM

Dallas, TX

Our client is growing specialty confectionery ingredient manufacturer based in the Dallas, TX area, Due to a recent promotion, they are looking to fill a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Project Manager (TPM) / Sales Support Manager position to join their Sales team. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, this essential role requires supporting the sales team and coordinating efforts across multiple departments, ensuring the seamless execution of sales initiatives and customer interactions primarily related to the growth and commercialization of new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

Sales Team Support:

Assist sales team members with MICROSOFT DYNAMICS CRM opportunities.

Generate pricing quotes, and above-funnel activities.

Manage technical documentation requests.

Provide project status updates internally and externally as required.

Assist with RFI/RFP documentation, including uploads and submissions.

Oversee Customer Portal uploads and maintenance.

MICROSOFT DYNAMICS CRM Management:

Serve as the MICROSOFT DYNAMICS CRM champion for company.

Maintain MICROSOFT DYNAMICS CRM by adding new contacts, updating existing information, and deactivating as necessary.

Manage opportunities, including closing, creating new ones, and adding sample requests.

Submit and manage Follow Requests in MICROSOFT DYNAMICS CRM.

Assign CFI requests in MICROSOFT DYNAMICS CRM to the appropriate departments.

Conduct monthly reviews of Opportunity estimated close dates and update as needed.

Distribute and manage the monthly Open Opportunities log with brokers and coordinate updates with the sales team.

Campaign & Event Support:

Assist with follow-up on campaigns alongside brokers and sales team members.

Support organization and logistics for onsite customer visits and presentations.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

Coordinate interdepartmental meetings and communications as needed.

Collaborate with Marketing and R&D to organize and ship Trade Show Materials, Samples, and Customer Presentations.

Manage photo updates of samples, presentations, and newly commercialized finished goods.

Reporting & Project Management:

Draft and distribute MICROSOFT DYNAMICS CRM reports and Project Tracker files to the Sales team.

Manage and facilitate weekly Pre-comm and New Item Setup processes.

Lead the First Friday monthly sales call, focusing on process training and updates.

Requirements

Must have a BA/BS degree

Must have proven experience in sales support, project management, or a related field.

Prefer an understanding of MICROSOFT DYNAMICS CRM or similar CMR systems and best practices.

Must have excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Should have the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership.

Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to manage and mentor junior team members.
