Responsibilities & Requirements:
Possible Incentives for external GI Techs:Up to $5,000 Sign-on Bonus based on experience

Relocation Bonus available (amount may vary dependent on the distance of the move)

Returning employees must not have been employed by Kettering Health for the last 6 months prior to rehire

Job Responsibilities:GI Technician (GI Tech) serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team and is responsible for assisting with patient care under the supervision of a professional nurse.

The GI Tech performs nursing care skills that have been delegated by the licensed nurse.

She/he plays an integral role in the patient care experience and both directly and indirectly impacts the perception of care.

The GI Tech reports to the charge nurse or clinical manager.

Paid On-Call is required for position.

Preferred Qualifications:
Job Requirements:      High school diploma or equivalent.

Passes a pre-hire employment tests

Successful completion of KHN GI Tech orientation

GI endoscopy experience preferred in all aspecsts of endoscopy procedures

Preferred minimum of 1 year experience as a GI Tech or Endoscopy

GI scheduling of cases preferred

Front desk and pre/post op care of patient preferred

CPR certification
