SUMMARY:
Our direct client - the largest specialty beauty retailer in the United States and the place for the true beauty enthusiast - is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Platform Solution Architect to oversee the strategic development, architecture design, and management of our ServiceNow platform.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the platform's scalability, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness, while aligning with our business objectives. As a key leader, you will drive innovation, provide technical oversight, and lead a team of developers and architects to deliver robust infrastructure solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Platform Development
Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive ServiceNow platform strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.
Ensure platform scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness while optimizing performance.
2. Architecture Design
Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, reliable ServiceNow solutions, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies.
Develop architectural frameworks that support growth and operational efficiency.
3. Roadmap and Backlog Management
Maintain and prioritize the ServiceNow demand backlog and platform roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and IT goals.
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-impact solutions.
4. Team Leadership
Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to developers and architects.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with business and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of ServiceNow solutions into the broader infrastructure landscape.
Ensure alignment of technical solutions with business requirements for optimal delivery and performance.
6. Technical Oversight
Provide ongoing technical oversight and guidance, ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulatory compliance, and best practices for platform management.
Perform technical reviews and ensure quality control on all platform developments.
7. Vendor Management
Manage relationships with external service providers and vendors.
Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service levels align with contractual obligations and business needs.
8. Platform Licensing
Manage the licensing of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring compliance and optimization of usage across the organization.
9. Risk Management
Assess and mitigate risks related to infrastructure, security vulnerabilities, data privacy, and compliance requirements.
Implement robust security controls and protocols to protect the platform and ensure data integrity.
10. Continuous Learning & Improvement
Stay current with platform releases, new functionalities, and emerging trends in ServiceNow and other relevant technologies.
Incorporate advancements into the organization's ServiceNow strategy to drive continuous improvement.
11. Budget Management
Develop and manage budgets related to ServiceNow platform support, projects, and ongoing operations.
Optimize resource allocation and expenditures to maximize ROI while maintaining financial discipline.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing large-scale ServiceNow platforms.
Strong leadership and team management experience.
Proven experience in ServiceNow platform development, architecture design, and vendor management.
Expertise in managing budgets, platform licensing, and risk management related to infrastructure and security.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across business and technical teams.
Strong understanding of ITIL framework, ServiceNow best practices, and emerging technology trends.
