Title- DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote - US Based (they prefer EST hours, but would consider someone whose hours extend before or after EST. (for example hours 4AM-Noon EST or Noon–8PM EST)
Length: 6-12 month contract, possible extension
DEVOPS POSITION SUMMARY:
The DevOps position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities; the position includes working with AWS/Azure Cloud environments, Cloud based applications and systems enhancements. The DevOps position is responsible for modifications and managing all aspects of cloud related initiatives. This position is responsible for understanding and deploying cloud projects for the maintenance of all cloud functions and applications within the cloud environment. The position is required to work with Lakeview internally developed services and microservices with the Loan Origination Ecosystem. The DevOps position requires the candidate to work with multiple teams including QA, Release Management, Infrastructure, Project Management and business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Full life cycle of cloud environment development and deployment
Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.
Support, maintain, and document cloud functionality
Integrate software with existing systems
Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
Maintain compliance standards
Implement localization or globalization of cloud software • Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure microservices architectures on cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes for efficient deployment and management.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes for microservices-based applications.
Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs by implementing resource tagging, scheduling, and right-sizing strategies.
Implement security best practices such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security policies for microservices and cloud-based systems.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using cloud-native services and tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, microservices, and deployment pipelines in a timely manner.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3 years of experience developing and managing cloud solutions
3 years of programming and software development life cycles (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)
1 year experience with SQL server, PLSQL structure and development (Nice to have)
