As a Plant Performance Engineer at Envalior, you will be at the helm of our operational excellence, ensuring that our production processes are not only efficient but also aligned with the company's vision and sustainability goals. You will lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, driving performance improvements and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
The Position
In your role as Plant Performance Engineer, you will oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality assurance, safety, and personnel management. You will be responsible for setting operational targets and ensuring that the team meets or exceeds them while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Directs and coordinates activities concerned with continuous improvement of all company activities, driving the organization toward efficient operations. Responsible for establishing and maintaining processing parameters for new and existing products within assigned product line(s), and providing engineering support and continuous performance improvement for assigned extruder(s) and/or product line(s).
Key Responsibilities
Supports plant safety initiatives, promotes safety in daily operations and performs all quality system procedures and requirements associated with the position.
Confers with management to establish continuous improvement goals/objectives and overall direction.
Identify areas with other functional leaders, employees and customers to develop significant lean opportunities for improvement throughout the organization.
Network with internal/external resources to bring best practices to lean projects and the organization.
Lead and manage plant operations to achieve production and quality targets.
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation among plant staff.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to upper management.
Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance of the plant.
Collaborate with various departments, including R&D, supply chain, and quality control, to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing management, ideally within a multinational environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
Green Belt Lean/Six Sigma
In-depth knowledge of the plant and the process
Broad knowledge of all manufacturing disciplines
Leadership Experience
Planning and organizational skills
Knowledge of:
Work processes IP, SP, PMP
Quality System ISO TS 16949
RCA / FMEA methodology
SHE/Risk assessment
