Marathon TS is seeking a experienced QA & 508 Tester to support a federal client in Washington, DC.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform manual and automated testing of software applications, including functional, regression, and performance testing on web-based applications.
Design, develop, document, and maintain automated test cases and test scripts using Selenium and other testing tools.
Set up and maintain automated testing environments focusing on continuous integration and DevOps practices.
Conduct Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) compliance testing to ensure products meet federal accessibility standards.
Provide oversight and guidance on 508 standards and assist teams in prioritizing compliance efforts.
Develop test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios for both QA and 508 compliance.
Track and manage defects using JIRA, ensuring detailed documentation and clear steps for reproducing issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure software meets functional and accessibility requirements.
Conduct root-cause analysis, provide remediation guidance, and recommend improvements for 508 compliance.
Stay updated on the latest Section 508, WCAG standards, and federal accessibility laws, providing ongoing guidance to teams.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and demos.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizen and active Client Public Trust clearance.
6+ years of experience in QA and software testing, including front-end, functional, regression, and performance testing on web applications.
Experience with Section 508 compliance and WCAG standards.
Experience with writing automated UI tests using Selenium WebDriver with Java, and integrating tests into CI pipelines.
Experience with tools such as JIRA for defect tracking, test documentation, and reporting.
Knowledge of SQL for test validation.
Experience with accessibility testing tools such as ANDI, Color Contrast Analyser, and Fusion/JAWS.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
AWS Cloud experience.
Experience with Agile methodologies and related tools.
Front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Security scanning and performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, DataDog, or NewRelic.
