Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dependable individual to join their team as an IT Project Manager that will serve the entire organization. The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading project management service for the IT Department and the enterprise level. The IT Project Manager will ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The IT Project Manager will serve as a liaison between the IT Department and the business units.

Reporting to the Director of Applications, this is a non-exempt, full-time position located at their NYC headquarters. They offer competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing the organizations technical and application/software related projects.

Coordinates production releases and rollouts, delegating tasks to necessary employees and presenting on projects progress and results.

Serves as a point person (coordinator) during project intake process and conducts risk assessments for projects (applications/software).

Organizes meeting to discuss project goals and progress, project related budgeting/expenses and status reports.

Hands off projects to business units upon project completion.

Handles requirements gathering prior to project acceptance, these include the following:Vendor Qualifications Forms & Documents (eg. RFP).

Third Party Risk Questionnaires (if applicable).

Coordinate pre-sales technical review call.

Business Requirements Document for Technology Steering Committee.

Gathers post sales documentation (eg: Application Profile document, application diagram).

Manages and participates in multiple concurrent projects.

Responsible for reporting project status to executive staff and leadership via reports or dashboards.

Documents instructions for end-users and assist with testing phases of the project.

Coordinates change requests and adjustment needed during the project.

Conducts post-project evaluations.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and/or Computer Information Systems (or related degree) and 4-5 years of relevant work experience as a project manager, business analyst, project coordinator and/or other IT management positions.

Advanced computer skill and in-depth knowledge of different operating systems, network administration and service desk administration.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues.

Ability to manage a team of employees and vendor/partners, develop a project scheduling and define individual responsibilities within the project.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget and to hold resources accountable for their deliverables.

Excellent resource planning and task scheduling skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle any issues that occur during the lifecycle of the project.

Excellent judgment and creative issue-resolution skills, including conflict resolution.

Ability to appropriately handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.

Self-starter and team player able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Working knowledge of project management software ((url removed) preferred).

Understanding of software development life cycle.

Thorough understanding of project management fundamentals (Project Management Professional - PMP certification preferred).

Thorough, accurate, detail-orientated, and conscientious about assignments.

Positive attitude, energetic, and interested in working in health care.
