Job title:- Project Cost Analyst
Location:- Albany, NY 12204 (Hybrid Role)
Duration:- 12 Months
Pay rate:- $50- $55/hr. without any benefits.
Job Description:
Responsible for supporting project managers with cost analysis
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Assist project managers with forecasts of project spending and cash flows, budget variance monitoring, cost tracking/analysis in Excel
Evaluate external costs and develop internal cost estimates in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Participate in the project development process
Provide costs impacts associated with identified project risks
Assist in the financial project close-out
Develop and ensure recording of the project’s historical cost information and "lessons learned" for future use
Communicate with project team, resources, and other internal and external stakeholders on various budgetary items
Work with others in both supplying information and seeking assistance as necessary
Knowledge & Experience Required:
Full understanding of cost control/management
Intermediate to Advance level of expertise with Excel
Familiarity with SAP or P6 helpful
Familiarity with project estimating
Strong understanding of procurement and contracts
Good interpersonal and collaboration skills
Strong organization and prioritization skills for accurate and largely self-directed work.
With a bachelor’s degree
Degree must be in a related field from an accredited university or college and could include Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Technology, or Project Management.
