About the Role:
Are you ready to tackle some of the most challenging and rewarding projects in the field of software engineering? As a Software Engineer at NGA, you will have the opportunity to work directly with stakeholders and Data Analysts to develop new and enhanced capabilities that help analysts achieve mission success. You will be at the forefront of processing ETL on new and varied data sets and working with Big Data at scale, using Spark/PySpark to handle petabytes of data.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Liaison: Develop a deep understanding of the customer's current and upcoming mission needs, generating requirements based on their input.
Data Solutions: Work with a variety of data types, including Technical Telemetry Data, Computer Network Cyber data, and telecommunication protocol data types (cellular, Wi-Fi, Ethernet).
Impactful Work: Know that everything you do will be directly used by the customer, contributing to their mission success.
Application Workflow: Update all application workflows to improve performance and resiliency.
Team Collaboration: Work in a multi-faceted software development team to build and maintain software applications backed by a self-managed cloud infrastructure with a true big-data footprint (over 10 petabytes).
Problem Solving: Solve unique and challenging intelligence problems in support of special operations analysts and their ongoing activities.
Prototyping: Engage in prototyping and frequent, iterative feedback to support mission needs quickly and effectively.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
Experience: 12+ years of development experience in modern languages (Python, Java, JavaScript).

Full-Stack Web Frameworks: Django, Python, Flask
Front-End Frameworks: React, Angular, Typescript
Cloud Computing Environments: Openstack, AWS, Azure
