Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a mid to senior level Software Engineer who is ready to work with a talented team to provide innovative solutions for tomorrows problems. This position requires a software engineer to use a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field to develop, integrate, and test software products. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will work independently / solo at times on projects, at other times will be in a collaborative team environment with other software engineers, as well as other program development and deployment teams. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction and integration and test activities is required, up to 25%.
Selected applicant will be subjected to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and must maintain eligibility for continued access to classified information throughout their employment as required by the job.

Requirements
What We Need To See:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
6+ years of C/C++ Software development experience
Linux experience (Unix operating systems like RedHat)
Atlassian tool suite proficiency (Jira, Confluence)
Scripting experience in bash and/or python
Automation experience in Jenkins and/or GitLab
Ability to travel up to 25%
Active Secret Clearance
Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:
Avionics hardware familiarity
Electrical/wiring diagram familiarity
Matlab proficiency
Experience in requirements to test traceability
Experience documenting technical configurations and software loaded
Proficient with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, BitBucket, etc)
Experience communicating complex technical designs to software engineers
Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills.
