Overview :
We are seeking an IT Project Analyst to join our client’s team in Woodlawn, MD. The ideal candidate is well versed in general IT project analysis, hardware/software troubleshooting, user research, requirements gathering, special projects, inventory management, process improvement, project management, and has accessibility/508/UX knowledge. This direct-hire role is located in Woodlawn, MD, and requires onsite presence at least 3 days a week.  Candidates must live within 2 hours of the client-site. 

 

Per our client contract, candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card Holders, eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance. The candidate must be willing to wait for the 4-to-6-week clearance process.

Responsibilities :
Track and support project requirements across the UX team to ensure successful results.

Meet regularly with teams to review progress, offer guidance on policy, research, and best practices.

Manage IT and internal process documentation for the UX team.

Conduct independent research and recommend new software/hardware to improve IT capabilities.

Help with special projects as needed by the UX team.

Provide technical support for software/hardware issues without relying on scripts.

Analyze helpdesk tickets and respond promptly.

Review and improve team processes for efficiency and ease of use.

Coordinate asset management, prepare quotes, manage inventory, and handle defective hardware issues.

Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree AND 3 years of relevant experience

4+ years of experience supporting special IT projects and managing their end-to-end lifecycle.

3+ years of experience with the following:Assisting users with the operation of their computer systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office applications and other specialized software.

Testing both hardware and software, ensuring that systems are functioning properly.

Using Jira (or similar service platform) to manage and respond to support tickets from users.

Ability to write technical documentation and plain language documentation dependent on audience.

Self-motivated, task-driven, and able to quickly learn new skills.

Demonstrated understanding of navigating and adapting to unique constraints (i.e. policy, infrastructure) 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience implementing or otherwise managing Jira or similar service platform (ServiceNow, Zendesk, etc.)

Understanding of UX and user research methodologies

Support of UX/user research software and/or tools (Axure, XD, Sketch, Figma, Medallia, Tobii)

Support and troubleshooting of mobile devices (Android, iOS)

Understanding of 508 and accessibility compliance

Previous work experience in federal government

Understanding of agile framework and full life-cycle software development methodologies

CompTIA, Project management certifications (PMP, CAPM, PMI)

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range of $100K-$120K, based on experience, qualifications, location, licensure, and certifications.  The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
